Whispers in the night

Heh, spot the dead blog, win a prize. Not much excitement happenin' lately, which is just the way I likes it, but alas this doesn't make for daily updates.

I'm still fiddlin' about with the webcomics,

...which tickles my creative spark and fools the Muse enough so she doesn't bug me much about not writing anything new for months.

In spare moments I've been tinkering with a couple of older novellas that are staggeringly brilliant but want to spread their wings and be novels, which is more of a start-over-from-scratch deal. They're whispering to me in the night. I hate when that happens.

Not watching much TV lately but that's 'cause there's not much Sci-Fi showing (yeah I still call the genre "Sci-Fi" -- you wanna fight about it?). About the only shows I tune into are Dollhouse and The Mentalist. And Buffy re-runs.

OK, that's this year's blog updates taken care of...

Have you seen "Lie to Me"? It's on Sky 1; next episode is on tomorrow night, but I think it's also shown on Thursday. It stars Tim Roth as an FBI person who specialises in reading people's faces and body language to detect whether they're lying. It's been fun so far, with decent acting and some humour thrown in, and appeals to me as I feel I'm learning something into the bargain. Worth watching from the beginning if you can catch the repeats (tomorrow's should be episode 5 or 6, I think).

Thanks, I'll try to catch it, methinks I saw a trailer but didn't quite click what it was all about. Most nights she who must be obeyed keeps her paws on the remote controls. Shopping channels are far more important than my petty needs.

Just saying, over a month later, we've been watching Lie To Me (after some negotiations involving washing the dishes) and it's been pretty interesting so far, Roth does a good turn.

You need a pet. :-)

Spooky, is that you?! I sure as hell need something, but I'm not sure if a pet is it!
